Frequently asked questions
What should I bring for the trip?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, comfortable clothing, rain protection clothing and shoes that can get wet. Don’t
forget and any personal snacks or drinks you enjoy.
What fishing gear do you provide?
We supply basic spinning combos ideal for peacock bass fishing.
If you’d like to try fly fishing, bait casting, or target species like snook and jacks, please ask us beforehand — we may have specialized
equipment available for rent. You’re always welcome to bring your own tackle and lures
Do I need a car to get to the Dock?
Yes, you’ll need transportation to reach our Dock.
If you need help arranging transport, we are happy in helping out arranging transportation services.
Are food and drinks included?
We provide basic snacks and bottled water on every trip.
However, since everyone has different preferences, we recommend bringing your own food and drinks if you’d like something specific.
Do you allow keeping the fish we catch?
We strongly support catch and release, especially for species that are rare or protected.
However, if you’d like to keep a few fish for eating, just ask your captain — we’ll let you know which species can be kept legally and
responsibly.
Is the captain’s tip included in the price?
No — the captain’s tip is not included.
Tips are greatly appreciated and are a traditional way to thank your captain and crew for a great day on the water.
How long does it take to reach the fishing spots?
It depends on the conditions and the area we’re fishing.
Most fishing spots are between 30 minutes to an hour away from the dock
Do you fish with live bait or lures?
We use both live bait and artificial lures, depending on the target species and fishing conditions.
How many people can join a trip?
Our standard trips accommodate up to 4–5 guests comfortably.
For larger groups, we can arrange multiple boats to ensure everyone enjoys the experience together.
Do I need a fishing license or permit?
No — you don’t need any license or special permit to fish with us.
We handle everything so you can just relax and enjoy your day.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather is too bad to fish safely, we will either delay the trip until later in the day or reschedule it for another time at no extra
cost.
For example, if you arrive and it’s raining too hard to fish, we can wait it out at the dock until conditions improve.
However, if it’s light rain or generally fishable weather, the trip still runs as normal — fishing in the tropics often means dealing with
passing showers.
If you choose not to continue the trip due to light rain or personal preference, the full trip price still applies
What species can we catch?
Depending on the season, you can expect to catch peacock bass, snook, tarpon, and jack crevalle — the main target species we focus on.
Jaguar fish and oscar are common bycatches, but they’re not species we actively target.
